Write up:

You should see a very obvious result here. The nail attached to the positive (+) end of the battery has corroded significantly, and the surrounding water is muddy brown with rust. The nail attached to the negative (-) end of the battery has not corroded at all. You should have seen the reaction starting very quickly, with some faint brown wisps in the water around the positive (+) nail, and perhaps one or two bubbles being produced at the negative (-) nail.
